Fascia & Soffit Boards
Fascia boards carry your gutters and close off the roof edge, while soffits close the underside of the overhang. When timber boards rot, moisture and pests can get into the roof structure. Many homeowners replace them with uPVC boards that do not need painting, or have uPVC capping fitted over sound timber.
Why Consider Fascia & Soffit Boards?
- Seals the roof edge against water, wind and pests
- uPVC boards do not need painting
- Vented soffits can help airflow in the roof space

Frequently Asked Questions
Can fascias be replaced without removing the gutters?
Usually not — the gutters are fixed to the fascia boards, so they normally have to come down while the boards are replaced. That is why fascia and gutter replacement are often done together. Scaffolding can be a significant part of the cost, so check whether it is included in the quote.
